Can the Roadmaster MX Base Plates for the 2006 Nissan Xterra Be Used Anything Other Than flat Towing

Question:
I want to use the 344-3b as a recovery point in addition to towing on a 2006 Nissan Xterra. I was wondering what size the draw bar is ? Is it a 1and1/4 or 2 inch, or other? The part is number c-001853 on the PDF instructions. What size is that square piece that s with the pin. Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The draw bar on the Roadmaster MX Base Plates, # RM-344-3B, for your 2008 Nissan Xterra measures 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 inches square.
However, this product is designed for only for use in flat towing applications. Any use other than flat towing will void warranty and may damage both base plates and your vehicle.
