This base plate kit keeps your vehicle looking stock when you’re not towing. The concealed main body leaves the front end clean and unobtrusive, with removable arms that come off when you’re done. Nothing sticks out or distracts from the factory look, and the solid steel construction adds strength without changing the style.
The twist-lock tabs make connecting your tow bar fast and straightforward. Each arm slides into place, twists to lock, and pins securely—no extra tools or tricky alignments. It’s an easy system whether you’re setting up at home or on the road. The distance between brackets is 32-1/2" and bracket height is 17-1/2", giving you clear specs to match up your tow bar setup.
Every part of this base plate is engineered for dependable towing. It’s constructed of welded steel, precisely fit for superior strength, and physically tested to the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR). The design spreads towing force evenly across the chassis to reduce stress on suspension components, giving you confidence that it’s built to handle real miles.
The base plate is protected by a high-gloss black powder coat finish that resists chips and corrosion. It’s co-cured in a rust-resistant liquid Bonderite coating inside and out, so it stays looking sharp even after seasons of travel. That protection pairs with Curt’s limited lifetime warranty (one-year finish, one-year parts) for long-term peace of mind.
This kit installs with simple bolt-on mounting—no welding required. All necessary hardware comes in the box, including safety cables, for a complete setup ready to pair with your Curt or Blue Ox tow bar (sold separately). It’s a straightforward project that rewards careful work with a clean, solid fit you can rely on trip after trip.

Base Plates mounted on my 2022 Ford Bronco is holding up 100. Great quality finish that has not rusted. I have seen base plates from other companies being installed on Broncos and they are making major modifications. Not my Curt Custom Base Plates. An easy DYI with no major modifications. We have towed our Bronco 13,000 miles behind our Class A and its a flawless tow. These base plates were also priced much better then other brands. Thank you Etrailer!
