When you want a dependable tow setup that feels solid mile after mile, this base plate delivers. It bolts directly to the chassis with no welding required, forming a sturdy link between your vehicle and your motorhome. The design spreads towing force evenly across the frame to help prevent stress on the suspension. It comes with all the mounting hardware, ready for a secure and reliable connection every time you hook up.
If you prefer a clean front end, this setup keeps things tidy. The hidden reinforcements leave only the attachment tabs visible when you’re not towing—no bulky brackets sticking out. Those low-profile tabs stay out of the way and keep the bumper area looking neat whether you’re parked at home or back on the road.
Built from durable steel, this base plate is designed to handle years of towing without giving up its strength. The powder-coated finish resists rust and corrosion, so it holds up in different weather conditions and stays looking sharp after long-distance trips.
If you already have a tow bar system you like, this base plate fits right in. The sturdy lugs pair directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a simple hookup. It’s also adaptable for use with Roadmaster tow bars using adapter RM-031 or RM-031-5, or with Demco tow bars using adapter DM9523041 (each sold separately). That flexibility lets you reuse your existing gear without changing your whole setup.
With a distance between brackets of 24" and a bracket height of 17", it’s easy to plan your tow bar alignment and any accessories. The kit includes a 3-year warranty for added peace of mind once everything is installed and ready to roll.

Glad the install went smoothly, Grant! Even with those weird handle nuts (which I agree are kind of odd). What's the first trip you have planned? And I will let Alex know what you said as well! : )

Thanks for your review, Richard! It sounds like this was a fairly involved installation, but we're glad to hear everything came together successfully in the end. We appreciate you sharing the details of your process, especially the tips about the tight frame rail clearance and drilling challenges, as those insights may help other RV owners tackling the same project. Thanks for including the photo as well. Your finished installation looks great! Now that it's installed and you're moving on to the diode kit and brake away switch, what adventure are you looking forward to most this summer in your RV?
