If you like your setup to look clean when not towing, this base plate does it right. The completely hidden design keeps the front end looking seamless, and the removable arms come off with a quick twist so nothing sticks out past the bumper. When the arms are off, plug in the receiver covers to keep dirt and debris out of the base plate and give it a finished look.
Getting ready to tow is simple with the twist-lock attachment system. Each arm slides into the receiver, rotates until it locks, and secures with a pull pin. When you’re done towing, pull the pin, rotate to unlock, and remove the arms just as easily. This setup makes connecting and disconnecting quick and repeatable no matter where you are.
This kit bolts directly to your chassis using the included mounting hardware—no welding needed. The sturdy steel build is powder coated to resist rust and corrosion, while the design spreads towing forces evenly to help prevent stress on your suspension. It’s made to stay solid over thousands of road miles between stops.
You don’t have to give up your existing tow bar setup. This base plate pairs directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a secure connection. If you’re running Roadmaster or Demco gear, just use the correct adapter (RM-031, RM-031-5, or DM9523041, sold separately). Integrated mounting points make it easy to add an electrical plug bracket so your wiring stays organized and ready when it’s time to roll out.
This is a practical DIY job for anyone comfortable turning wrenches. The base plate bolts securely to the vehicle’s chassis, using factory mounting points whenever possible. No welding is required, and all necessary hardware comes in the box for a clean fit that lines up right the first time. Distance between brackets is 24" and bracket height is 17-1/2", so you can plan your towing setup around those specs.

Part was back ordered, but got here faster than promised it would be.

Instructions a little vague at times. Did not fit without modifying. Bolts did not torque to recommended specs. Snapped several off. Had to buy better graded bolts.
Had to do some grinding to spacers to get them to fit

Product is in my view the best for my application a 2019 Buick , envision. Not the easiest install but simply the best one . The fit and finish were very good. Blends into the grill nicely and as far as the bar itself, the car will fall apart before this setup does. Very substantial bar and fittings. Easy to engage and disengage. Very happy with the results and would recommend. You won’t be disappointed with the outcome.
The Blue Ox Baseplate fit my Buick Envision perfectly. The installation instructions were very accurate and easy to follow.
This was enough for a very novice, mechanically inclined guy to install on a new 2019 Buick Envision. I had zero problems. The instructions were straight forward, the reachback was available, and it only took me 1.5 days to install. Toughest part was drilling holes in my frame, so i looked up how to do that (use oil and have plenty of bits!). Also, I've not quite got the front fascia back on quite perfectly, but might be due to my knuckle-dragger effort when I pulled it off. Still, it looks quite good and I have no problems towing the buick behind a V10 gasser across the country.
The base plate on our 2019 Buick Envision was installed by Three Way Campers in Marietta, GA.
Their hitch man did an outstanding job! Your can hardly tell that the Buick is fully configured for flat towing!

Great works fine
They were "Johnny on the spot" when I ordered. My base plate was correct and it went on in the roughly 3 hours as indicated. Putting the car back together...NOT. That took much longer but thats not on etrailer. I am very pleased with everything.
Shipment was quick. Blue Ox instructions for installation were clear and precise.
