The greaseless AlumiBall is a solid aluminum hitch ball topped with a nylon cap. The cap enables the trailer coupler to rotate easily around the ball. This prevents the coupler from getting stuck during turns and makes the towing experience smoother. The Alumiball does not require the use of lubricants, helping you to avoid greasy messes. Nylon cap is replaceable.
Getting ball grease on my pants is a thing of the past. To deter theft, I remove my hitch when it's not in use. With this hitch ball, I also don't have to worry about getting grease on my hands or in my vehicle. I've used it regularly and haven't had any issues with the nylon wearing down and it still swivels smoothly when I am turning.
I have this on 3 trailers, 1 hitch receiver, and 2 on my boats downriggers. They work great and now my keyring is less bulky. Been using them for years.

My preference over old dual ball. Old one was steel, very heavy. This new one is rated the same, but much lighter plus it has the caps. This reduces wear and tear on the product. Thumbs up for sure
