Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Tow Rax Mounting Hardware for Removable Wheel Chock. Now this hardware will let you mount your Tow Rax Removable Wheel Chock to either a wood or metal floor and this is going to work with chocks that have a three point mounting configuration and this kit includes everything that you see here on my table before me. You're going to receive these mounting bases and in case you we're interested, they do measure right at two inches in diameter and the inner diameter there is a half an inch. So you're gonna get the bases, the wood screws and the nuts and bolts that you'll need to install this. This will require drilling for installation.

These a great mounting points. I made an additional backing piece by drilling holes in a fender type washer and mounted the backing under the trailer floor. I had the occasion to move a set inside a cargo trailer. I simply cut a piece of dowel rod and secured it in the hole with wood glue I order to patch the existing hole. Mine hold M/C wheel chocks. When I remove the chock I thread an Allen screw into the center hole.

Really the best type of fitting for a motorcycle wheelchock that I found. Easy to fit but you do have to get to the underside of the trailer deck to fit the nuts/washers. Seems to be a solid , secure attachment method and I have had no issues with any loosening

I purchased these to use them as advertised and they have worked great so far. You'll need about a 9/16" drill or just slightly larger. Couldn't figure out if it was running on metric sizes so that might be the issue. Anyways you drill your hole and the back side in relation to the pic provided on this website is actually the top side, has a hex hole so you take an Allen key to screw it down. Once you have that part you can drill some small holes to bolt the three remaining screws and bolt them down with the nuts. I could not access my trailer undercarriage because it is enclosed so I used some heavy coarse thread nickel plated screws to secure it. I feel comfortable these mount plates will hold good. The tie down straps do the real work so make sure those are real secure but this makes placing and removing the wheel chocks easy. I also powdercoated mine just because.

Safely Hauling a 650 lb Motorcycle with a Fleetwood Evolution E2 and Ram 1500

You won’t be able to safely carry a 650 lb motorcycle on that front deck since it’s only rated for around 150 lbs, so the best and safest way to do this is loading the bike in the truck bed. Attaching Motorcycle Wheel Chocks to Toy Hauler Floor
Since tie down straps like # EM34410 are bearing the vast majority of the weight of the bike, attaching the wheel chock using the # TWPH2770 hardware kit is perfectly acceptable. The chock is merely helping hold the front wheel in place, the tie downs will be doing most of the work.

Diameter of the Mounting Bases in Mounting Hardware for Tow-Rax Removable Wheel Chock TWPH2770
I went out to the warehouse to measure the round anchors in Mounting Hardware # TWPH2770. The bases of the round anchors are 2 inches in diameter. The part that goes into a hole is 1/2 inch in diameter so the hole it goes into would have to be smaller than that for a snug fit.

If you went with the Tow Rax Wheel Chock part # TWSPWC3BT you could use replacement hardware part # TWPH2770 and basically be able to mount a single chock in several trailers. The chock easily removes off of the hardware by sliding backwards and pulling up. You'd just need a set of hardware for each trailer and you'd be set.

Recommendations for Securing a 900 Pound Harley-Davidson Motorcycle to a Trailer
There are probably some sort of fancy anchors that you could get from a hardware store but I have a better, more secure and safe option for you. You can install some E-track such as # E19148 using numerous fasteners which will better distribute the weight. Then you would just need some D-rings for the tie downs, # E59143, and straps to secure to the handle bars # 06303 (to avoid any scuffs to the chrome). Then it is just a matter of using ratchet straps such as # EM05710 is you need some.

The Tow-Rax Wheel Chock # TWSPWM is supposed to only require 3-fasteners to secure it which is why the multi-surface hardware kit, # TWPH2770, comes with 3 fasteners as well. Either way, yes, 3 fasteners can be used. I think you might have TWSPWS which secures with 4 fasteners. In that case you would want to obtain a 4th from a local hardware store. Otherwise the one corner that isn't secured could pull up on the other corners.

I do not have any information on the Condor Chocks. I have not had any interaction with their product lines. I would follow their recommendations for installation. With heavier bikes like that I would imagine that the use of large washers or backing plates would be a really good idea to keep everything nice and solid. I checked out some photos of them and the mounting seems pretty standard as far as chocks go. With some reinforcement or getting them attached directly to the floor supports...
