It didn't work on the lock 1434598

You mentioned that it did not work on the lock and I have a few questions that I wanted to ask. Is there a number on the lock cylinder? If yes, what is the number on the lock?

I had broken me railing foot on my Thule rack do to strapping plywood down on a windy day. Driving with this headwind was just to much for the rack. I found etrailer online, found the parts and placed the order. Everything else was clock work. Factory Thule parts showed up within the week, easy to replace and I was back in business. Living on the Big Island of Hawai'i, This is on heard of.

When I first broke the railing foot i thought I was up a creek with out a paddle. I thought I would have to buy a whole new system from a local dealer (if I could find one). Then wait 6-8 weeks for it to arrive. This is how it usually works living on a island in the middle of the Pacific. When I was able to order the parts at very reasonable cost, have them in a week, & installed with in 20 minutes. I was a happy camper.

Had not used the bike rack in a while and then couldn't find the keys. This was HARD to find anywhere but etrailer. The Mopar racks on a used Jeep I bought needed a key the previous owner had lost. Mopar no longer sells the keys (too many generations ago). I did some digging and found the Mopar racks are actually Thule. But Thule said they no longer carry these keys for consumer sale and to go see a locksmith. etrailer said they could get them but it "might take awhile". No problem, I'd wait. And here they are! I was so close to finally breaking out the hacksaw to get the old lock off my disengaged Thule bike rack. I made the cardinal sin of losing the key to it after a total garage remodel. I tried every spare and odd key- but none worked. I finally looked at the small number on the lock and did a google search- even though I wasn’t sure the lock was a Thule lock. I found the key on etrailer and hoped it would work. Sure enough-it did. Saved me probably $100 for losing the old one and buying a replacement!

product was as advertised and worked great. Handling and delivery was really bad. I ordered the replacement key because I was locked out of my Thule carrier at the start of my stay in Cape Cod. The package was "supposed" to go 2nd day air which I paid about $ for. The product was not delivered for 6 days.
