You can get many good years of use out of your inaudible 00:00:02 hitching post pro bike rack. But here today, we're going to show you some replacement parts that can help you extend this life even further. Essentially, any part that's not the metal frame is replaceable. So if you find yourself missing a strap or a cradle, or even your anti-rattle bolt, we have a solution for you. So today we're going to show you how to replace your side end cap. So come back here with me, you can see ours is fine.
It's in place. It is a little loose. They don't like to come off, but if you've got mischievous kids or just happens to get caught on something, it can come off. And what can happen is water can get in here and it can rust and corrode. And you definitely don't want that.
And it just doesn't look very nice if it's missing as well.So go ahead and pick up a replacement end cap here. The new one couldn't be any easier to install. It just presses in place. A little lip here, catches on the top, kind of go into the corner and then just give it a good firm with the butt your hand and you're good to go. If you need one from the other side, just pick up two.
So just like that, I'm able to load my bike up again. And I saved myself several hundred dollars just by swapping out parts for my tooling replacement part here from etrailer.com.

Plus Thule does not sell this part from its spare parts catalog; I would have had to buy a much more expensive assembly containing this end cap. etrailer sells just this end cap, providing the value I was looking for.
William S - 02/12/2019This item was hard to find. I initially contacted Thule which said it no longer carried it and that it would be doubtful that I could find them in the secondary market. Nonetheless, I continued to search and came upon this site. etrailer is the only entity that I know of that carries it, and my particular bike rack is more than 10 years old. Even Thule was delighted to learn from me that etrailer carried this part.

These fit very tight on the bars of the bike rack. Once in place they worked great. The old parts would allow the bikes to bounce and move.
The bar cap I received perfectly fit my Thule 912xt/914xt Roadway rack, the cost was so good I ordered 2 in case I lose one. I received my order in 2 or 3 days after ordering. Thanks Pat for your help.
