What's up, everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're be checking out this Foam Grip Wrap from Stromberg Carlson, is gonna go on your Lend-a-Hand handrail on your rig. It's gonna give you some more grip when you're climbing in or back out. Let's check it out. The foam wrap is gonna really add some texture to the handle, give you more to grab onto. You won't slip with your hand on just touching the metal here, when you go to get in or outside of your rig.
You're gonna get 60 inches of wrap, so that can help you figure out how much of the handle it's gonna cover up when you go to put it on yours. Here's an example of another foam wrap on a handrail. Now this one's been on the rig for a while. You can see that it's cracked up a little bit. Even when I go to use it, it leaves a little bit on my hand, it's not the best texture there.
So this can happen as it sits out in the sun and it wears down. This is also a different type of foam, so it's not gonna last as long as what we're installing today. This is the durablend foam so this one's gonna be sturdier. You can already see that it's not as soft as the other foam there, it reminds me of a steering wheel, you get that grip with it when you're going to grab to climb in or out. As for install, it's really easy to do.
You're really just gonna tape up one end, start working it up the handle and tape up the other end. Check out how I did it. Before we go to install, I just wanna say we're gonna be doing this for demonstration purposes, so I'm not permanently installing it on this rail. This is gonna go through the process of showing you how to do it. So right away, this is gonna be the tape they give you for the ends.
You'll get started putting the foam on the handrail and you'll tape up the first so it stays there as you go up the handrail. We're not gonna use these, and we're gonna use electrical tape instead 'cause we're gonna take it right back off. They also say step one and take some scissors and cut this diagonally, and we're not gonna do that 'cause this is just demonstration so wanna get that outta the way. Now we're gonna get installed. So we're gonna get started wrapping it around the handle, you wanna keep it close together. I got that started. Online, people have said they use this anyway to reinforce the ends to make sure it doesn't go anywhere in case the tape they give you isn't enough, so you definitely don't want the foam coming off. So take my tape here, with it secure at the bottom, we're just gonna keep wrapping around. Try and keep it tight. Make sure there's no spaces in between the foam. And now at this end, the same thing we did at the bottom, you just tape it to help keep it in place. You can use the tape that came with it and then reinforce it with electrical tape just to make sure it stays put. Overall, I really like how easy this was to install and replace. So if you have two handles on your rig like we do, you have that foam one back there that's falling apart, leaves that residue on your hands, I'd much rather rip that off and replace it with this, and I know that if this is ever damaged I can just do that again. Really easy to put on there, and it's good to use when you're getting in or out. Well, I think that does it, thanks for hanging out, and hope this helped.

Make your Lend-a-Hand feel like new again by replacing the foam grip. This wraparound foam allows you to quickly mend the grip on your handle without needing to remove the rail from your RV.Super easy to install and looks great. I reinforced the end tapes with additional friction tape just to make sure it stayed in place. etrailer is a super customer friendly supplier and love doing business with them
Quick and easy install. Much needed since old one was in need of repair/replacement
Fairly easy to install when you figure out the instructions. I also added a spiral wrap on a 3 “ spiral spacing of my fav scotch 33 electrical tape for good measure. Far better than piping insulation and electrical tape wrap(cheap but a bit cheesy).
I installed this yesterday and was pleasantly surprised the wrap was long enough for the entire handle. I was originally concerned it would only cover a small portion. The grip itself seems secure and the gripping friction action is suburb. I wish I would have replaced this months ago.
It worked good but had to figure it out to have enough to go up the
the arm. Don't overlap or you don't have enough to go very far. Stretch
it as you wrap it around the pipe. The pieces of tape to hold ends doesn't
stick real good. I used black electrical tape to hold ends better.. overall, it
is working ok.

great
Great shopping experience
This product was easy to install. It seems to be secure and works great. I have only had it on my camper for about three weeks now so I do not know how it will do over time but is good for now.

This product is great. After a year it is just as it was when I installed it. I am very pleased with this product.
The foam grip on our entry handle was deteriorated and falling apart and this product is exactly what I looking for to replace the old grip. The texture of the wrap provides a firm grip even when wet. The feel is nice when dry and the wife likes it.
The product went on easy however the installation instructions could be more detailed. As to how well it will hold up is yet to be determined as I installed it a few days ago. I am skeptical the tape provided to finish the ends of the wrap will hold up to sun and moisture as every tape I have seen fails in that kind of environment.
Overall I am pleased with the purchase of this product. It is a reasonable replacement for the foam grips that are factory installed.
It's been a year since I put the re-placement wrap on the handle too my RV and I'm very pleased that it looks as good as the day I put it on. The tape that holds the end, and in my case the middle since I used two sets, is lifted a little at the very end but then it was that way from the beginning and hasn't worsened.
After 1 year of many camping trips this foam grip has stood the test of time! It replaced the ripped foam that was on the camper door grip bar. Great sticking power and soft like cushion for gripping. Looks great too!
Installation was easy. Not exactly what i was looking for. But better than my deteriorating foam. As always my order was promptly filled and shipped
great product... saved me from having to by an new handle......
Thanx etrailer
Very similar to a tennis racket handle. Went on nicely, looks good; we'll see how it lasts.
I just installed this today so we have not had a chance to really use it. The quality looks excellent. Slight confusion on how tight to wrap it.
Everyone loved them and I need to buy 5 more

Used them on my boat and they worked great
We JUST put it on yesterday for our first camping trip of the season. Went on easily, looks great, but time will tell if the tape at top and bottom will hold it in place - we hope so!
Fast service. Original foam tubing ripped and need some kind of grip for my RV step handle. Easy to put on and looks good. Only have had it on a couple days so can't review how it will hold up.
Applied easily. Will see how it holds up over time but looks good. Much better than standard foam RV handle cover.
Wrap is still there and doing very good,
Thank you
Is exactly what we needed for our rv.
Easy to install. Looks great. I just put it on today. Hopefully will last a while.
should be a very good substitute for or ginal.
Arrived quickly. So easy to install, my wife did it before I got around to it.
Good product easy installation
This product was easy to install, and it still looked good after a season of camping and storage. I would recommend this to anyone that needs to replace the grip.

After a full year, this wrap is holding up as well as it did the day I installed it. My family often comment on how nice it is to have this grip so well conformed to the handle.
