The MoonWall XL adds shade, privacy, and light wind protection to your MoonShade XL, whether you mount it on the 12' side or the 9' side. It gives you more shelter next to your vehicle at camp and folds compactly into the MoonShade carry bag.
The MoonWall XL gives your MoonShade XL extra coverage when you want shade, privacy, or shelter from low-angle sun and light wind. It attaches to either the 12' side or the 9' side, letting you adapt the wall to your layout and how you want it to face. By adding a vertical panel to whichever edge you choose, you turn the awning into a more usable area for cooking, changing, or getting out of the elements. It's a quick way to make the awning feel more like a sheltered space instead of an open canopy.
To attach the wall, place the adjustable corner grommet tabs over the support pole posts on the side you choose. Once both top corners are in place, stake the lower grommets to tension the wall and keep it from moving. If adding the wall causes the canopy to dip, re-tension the MoonShade guylines. You can also add guylines to the wall for more stability when needed.

Hey everyone, I'm Evangeline right here at etrailer. Today, we have the MoonWall Long, this is going to be a sidewall designed specifically for your MoonShade Awnings. The most important thing is getting the right one for your journey. So the MoonWall Long, specifically works with the Extra-Large MoonShade Awning, which is what we have here, but only on the side, as a side wall. But if you have the MoonShade Original, which is the smaller version, this wall can work on the side, as well as off the front, whichever one you want for your shade needs. If you are looking for those different options, you can find them right here at etrailer and you can always give us a call to make sure you mix and match correctly so that you get the right fit.
Once you do get that sidewall on, though, look at the shade that it provides. Where the sun is today, I wouldn't have had any shade at all without the sidewall, but it not only provides shade, but it does also act a little bit as a wind barrier, and if a quick little storm kicks up, it provides a little bit of rain protection, not complete, 'cause you can still see that there's gaps all around, but just enough to break that wind. As an example, here's pouring some water onto that side wall, the water just slides right off. You can see it's not coming through the other side. Now I've worked with a lot of different tents and awnings, so I always look at the stitching.
You can see there's really high-quality construction all throughout, the stitching is folded over and reinforced, and even as I pull and tug away at the different parts of the cloth, I've not noticed any frayed thread so far. And this is how your sidewall will show up right out of the box, it's all in the bag, everything is in there, you have a draw string that will keep everything secure. What I like to do is I like to store this with the rest of the MoonShade Awning, but you, either way, whether you have it in the larger bag or on its own, this makes it a lot easier to transport before and after your trip. I think this is a great addition to your MoonShade Awning, if you're already gonna have the full awning set up, this gives you that extra shade, that extra privacy, but also, just that extra coverage when you have your setup going. Compared to other sidewall add-ons that other brands may have, I have noticed that the material of this is a fair bit thicker, so it is just a little bit heavier than the usual.
But given how compact the whole setup just transports, I don't think it's that big of a deal. The important thing really is that you need to know exactly how to install it, because that is a quick and easy process once you know what you're doing. So if you're curious about that process, stick around. To install it, some things that I've learned, especially with setting this up during windy days, is to make sure it's clipped in. So there's a middle clip and that will go into the middle of your awning, just like that.
The other end has a grommet, so that goes into the side pole, and then that goes into the awning. And then don't forget to clip that pole with the carabiner before you continue on. (clip clicking) On the other side, since there is not another leg pole, we're just going to secure using the carabiner for our anchors. And then I think the bottom's down, so try to get a good amount of tension with the wall. And then with your stake, I then just use my own hammer (hammer thumping) and make sure it's secure. (hammer thumping) You get two stakes included with your MoonWall. And that's it, your MoonWall Long is all installed, all I do from this point is just double-check that all the buckles are tightened down, all the guidelines are secure, and if you have more than one MoonWall, do the exact same process, but on the other side. Now, if you have any questions at any point or you're trying to figure out which of the awnings is the best fit for you, please feel free to reach out to us here at etrailer, it can get confusing with the MoonShade Original or the MoonShade XL, the MoonWall Long or the MoonWall Short, so we're always here to help you out, making sure you get the right fit for your adventures. Today, though, this was a look at the MoonWall Long Sidewall for your MoonShade Awnings at etrailer.
