Ellen: Hey everyone, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today, we're taking a look at the JR Products double snap RV awning clips. Now, these are going to help to attach just about any accessory to your awning. We can just flip up the little tab on one side of our clip, and that'll open it up so that we can attach it to our awning fabric, or maybe to a tablecloth, if we want to weigh that down to prevent it from flying off. You can also use one of the included inserts.This can go into a lot of awning roller channels to give you a secure attachment point, if you don't want to connect directly to that fabric. So you'd put the round end in that roller channel, and then put your clip on the little tab side, and then we snap this over it, and it gets a pretty good bite into that material to hold really securely.
The other end will be the same, we'll have another clip there to attach to our lights, or our flags, or whatever we want to hang. So pretty snug attachment point. So you can see it made a few little bites in my tab. Actually, it might be hard for you to see there on camera, but it did make a little bit of an indent on that tab, so it does holds pretty securely.We'll get four total clips and tabs to attach this. It's made of a stainless steel construction, so we shouldn't have to worry about any rusting or corrosion.
As far as the length, each of our clips measures just about 2" long by about 1/2" wide. The widest point, it's about 3/4", and our spacing inside there, it's about 1/2" by probably a 1/4". Our tabs measure about an inch by 1/2". So it should be a really handy accessory to have for any of those things you want to hang from your awning, and make it a little bit more festive and fun while you're camping. My team and I participate in Expos, to share our services, and I needed a solution to attach outdoor banners to the fabric of our pop up canopy tent. These awning clips got the job done. Very satisfied customer. I have already recommended these clips to others, for same use.
Have not used them yet but was happy to see that the "teeth" on the clips are not sharp but appear to be effective in holding the shade fabric I am intenting to hang with them. They are fairly small so I did order multiple packages to provide enough coverage across my awning
The double snap clips were perfect for our project. We attached the clips to our existing awning then added a drop down panel for more sun shade.
The awning clips worked out very well, along with the awning roller slot inserts. The clips can be attached to the inserts, or to then edge of the awning.
