Jeff Hello, everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this 5th-wheel-to-gooseneck coupler adapter mounting plate for the MORryde pin boxes. Now this adapter plate will let you mount your 5th-wheel-to-gooseneck coupler adapter to your MORryde pin box so that you can tow your 5th wheel with a gooseneck hitch. The gooseneck coupler adapter which we do sell separately on our website will get welded to this plate, and then this plate is what'll replace the skid plate on your MORryde pin box. The installation hardware is all included, includes the four spacer box, the bolts, the washers and the nuts. And this part is made in the USA.
And see if I lift it up, you can see the kingpin underneath there. But that should do it for the review on this 5th-wheel-to-gooseneck coupler adapter mounting plate for the MORryde pin boxes..

Mount your 5th-wheel-to-gooseneck coupler adapter to your MORryde pin box by replacing the skid plate with this adapter plate.Ordering and Shipping through etrailer is always effortless. Ordered to install on my 33' Jayco Eagle HT MorRyde cushioned pin box. I use the Andersen Ultimate Hitch and after reading comments on forums, some say the adapter plate was not needed. After receiving the adapter mounting plate and comparing the two, there is a big difference on the manufacturing. The new plate has additional welding/plates minimizing the flex caused by the Andersen Hitch on the pin. The supplied nylon bushing blocks eliminates the side by side movement when towing. Installation was straight forward and took less than an hour, watch the installation video on the MorRyde website, it helps. If you are in doubt in purchasing as I was, order it from etrailer and you will not be disappointed and put your mind at ease when towing.
There was one good thing about this it actually was painted, not as the picture shows.
The bad, if you think it's going to be a breeze to install, per video think again. There are four blocks that come with this and because the top original part has welding slag in it that could not be removed one of the blocks would not slide in, so I had to us a dremel and cut out a divet in it to get it into place.
Then the four holes on the plate itself were so thick that it wouldn't slide in place. The old one you just held it up and it went right back on. Sooo, I had to grind down the metal on all four holes and because I didn't want to get carried away and weaken it I had to pound it into place once I got it ground down at least 1/4". Once I got all this done the project was finally finished although it took 3 people working on it for about four hours before the job was finalized.
I'm sure I could have sent it back and etrailer would have sent me a different one, but I didn't really want to have to disassemble and reassemble everything and then do it all over when a new one came in.
This is very poor quality control on Morryde's part and in the future I probably would not buy another Morryde product, especially since they told me it wasn't their responsibility to notify anyone (dealer's) that this part was necessary when they installed an Anderson hitch for their customers. I only found this out after the fact. It was a toss-up whether to install this or buy a different system altogether. Now I wish that I had.
One of the holes that secured the cushion block was miss drilled and I had to drill a new hole.

There wasn’t a hole where the bolts are.
Arrived quickly. Fit well. People at etrailer were very helpful and polite. When speaking to MORride directly, they were rude and obnoxious.
The parts that I did received were good, but I didn’t received all the parts that were supposed to be with the kit. I had to contact someone at etrailer and mortadella to get the remaining pieces needed to finish the job. Quality control is lacking.
The package was delivered very quickly. However the package is very heavy and for that reason get easily damage in shipping. The box look like it had been beat all up and had to be retaped closed. One of the spacers is missing due to the package being damaged. This is common with heavy metal items. I think the hardware should be shipped independently of the coupler to make sure the hardware makes it. Several reviews speak of missing hardware. I will say etrailer has promptly responded to my emails about the missing parts and are getting them to me. etrailer is great to work with. The packaging is the real issue.
The product looks great but the packing was coming apart when delivered. I am missing 1 3/8-16x1" bolt. Otherwise I am very pleased with product.

I am happy that you like this product. I will still have Customer Service reach out to you.
This is an adaptor that is necessary if you have the MORryde Fifth wheel on your trailer and use the Andersen hitch in your truck. The box arrived crushed and damaged. When I opened the box, only the adaptor mounting plate was present and it had paint knocked off of two corners. It was supposed to come with the required stability blocks, flange nuts, bolting and washers (all missing). Etrailer did a good job of getting the missing required hardware to me within a few days. No instructions are included with the adaptor, but they are available on the Etrailer website and through MORryde. The additional lateral support provided by the plastic blocks provides peace of mind.
They only thing that I was not happy with is the fact that I bought it and then found out that I had to buy a different pin box plate to go with my anderson.
Missing one bolt. Fit as it was suppose to. Came with a coat of paint on it.

Do you by any chance have a picture of the spot where the hole was missing? I am a bit confused on what you mean by cushion box? Your pinbox? Please let me know, so I can further assist you.
