What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this Ericsson webbing strap protector. This is gonna be an add-on to your ratchet straps to help protect them against aggressive corners. Let's check it out. So you're gonna feed your strap through the protector, and this is what's gonna sit on your cargo now. So instead of your strap being aggressively pulled at a sharp corner to where it could get cut over time or just weared down, this gives you more for the strap to be on, spreads it out a little bit more, and it helps it last longer.

Not only does the protector protect the ratchet strap, but it's gonna protect the cargo underneath. So maybe if you're hauling furniture that you don't wanna get scratched up with a ratchet strap that could damage something, now the strap is gonna make contact with whatever the cargo is. So the plastic will be protecting the furniture, so it doesn't get damaged. We removed one of the protectors to show you how aggressive it actually is. So on our setup today, you can see the angle of this strap's going on, and you can even see in the strap how it's being pulled down over this edge, which eventually, if this is on here for a long time, it can start to wear on that strap.

If you look over at the protector, it's coming down at a better angle, and it's not all pulled down at one point. Overall, that was a quick look at the protectors. I think they are a handy thing they have. Now, you can use it on a whole bunch of different cargo, a lot of different situations. It's gonna help the strap and whatever you're hauling, but just wanna give you a quick look at how they work.
