Video Transcript for Complete Breakdown of the 194 Incandescent Light Bulb

Hello neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're gonna be taking a look at the Diamond 194 replacement bulb, which is a 4 Watt. This is gonna be great for your camper, or just to have on hand in your camper, because it also works well in a lot of different applications, whether it be your tow vehicle, or any other lights in your camper. Sometimes having a light that's a little too abrasive or too bright in that area, can kind of make things a little, I don't know, not as comfortable or pleasing to the eye as you'd like. And part of that is in the sleeping quarters here, generally It's only used when the kids are ready to go to bed.

So instead of having a very bright light, we're gonna tone that down a little bit, and that way they can have a little bit of a nightlight, and more, stay up kind of playing with each other while I'm in the room sleeping, and this bright light is not gonna transfer over to the bedroom. So we're going to swap this out for a smaller bulb, see how it looks. And then we'll come back and, take a look at it. Now these are a pretty standard light that you find in a lot of campers. And in order to replace a bulb, you simply slide this out, kind of walks into place.

So, let me take a little bit of prime here, but once you get one side, you can kind of work the other. It's also a good chance to get some of those bugs that tend to hide in those and, leave their remnants. So we'll drop that out. And so we have a 921 wedge style bulb, and these generally are about 18 Watts. So we're going to swap this down to a lower wattage and a smaller bulb.

That's gonna give us a little, calmer light in this area. So to pull this, or to replace it, we're simply going to hold here, and pull our bolt straight out. So here's our new bulb that we'll be installing, compared to the one that we previously just removed. It's both a wedge style, so it's gonna fit in the socket just the same. And this is gonna be a 4 Watt as opposed to the 18 Watt.

So it really should tone this down quite a bit. So let's put it in and see how it looks, compared to the other standard 18 Watt. So a little bit calmer of a light, little less abrasive, especially for the kids sleeping here. This bright light is right in their face. This is gonna help tone that down, and make it to where they're not feeling like they're getting blinded. So with our 4 Watts, and you can see the light is not as aggressive as the other one. And I think it's pretty well suited for an area that's used for sleeping. And that way, if this kid needs to get up to go to the bathroom, they can turn this on to see, make sure they're not stepping on the person below, but it's also not going to be blinding for the person down below. It's kind of a little warmer light, and it's toned down quite a bit, which is gonna be perfect. And that was a look at the Diamond replacement 194 incandescent bulb. Thanks for watching..
