Jeff Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at the adjuster spring for the Dexter 12 inch by 2 inch hydraulic trailer brake assembly. Now this is a replacement adjuster spring for drum style trailer brakes. And basically this adjuster spring connects to the bottom of both brake shoes right above the adjuster screw. And it keeps tension on the brake shoes and that adjuster screw.
This does work with the following types, works with the Dexter, the Bendix, the Demco, and the Dayco 12 inch by 2 inch size hydraulic trailer brake assemblies. And the spring can be used on either the left hand or right hand side. Last thing I wanna do is just give you a measurement from the end of that hook to the other end. And it's right at 4 inches. But that should do it for the review on this adjuster spring for the Dexter 12 inch by 2 inch hydraulic trailer brake assembly..

For left- or right-hand applications.I had bought a trailer that the brakes were supposed to be new in. On had so much grease packed in it and the spring had come off. The Adjuster spring was destroyed and no one in Anchorage Alaska has a marine rated spring. Etrailer.com not only had the part (I didn't have to buy a rebuild set either) but they shipped to me fast fast fast.
