Hello, neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Sylvania 9006SLs LED Fog Light and Powersport Bulbs. Now, folks, you will get quantity two with your purchase. These are a highly-efficient 12 watt LED bulbs for fog lights and powersport headlights. They feature a bright 6,000 kelvin cool white light output, and they have a nice aluminum body with a 10,000 RPM fan on the backside here. And that's actually gonna drive heat away from the unit and produce a longer-lasting bulb and longer-lasting usage as well.
So that fan actually comes on when the lights are on and keeps pushing heat away. It is recommended you replace both bulbs at the same time to give you a consistent level of color and output, and those kinda things. Now, everything here has a nice heat shrink on it and everything, that way, it doesn't overheat and whatnot. And they're easy to replace, there's no polarity issues, those kinda things. Now, the heat sink does require an additional one inch of clearance beyond the OE bulb length.
So whatever your current one is, you're gonna need extra length here, because of that heat sink. So make sure you got the space in there to fit these guys before you purchase them and before you install them. So do some measurements, do some homework, make sure they're gonna work for you. Now, these are rated, again, for 12 watt capacity, and they are made for off-road use only. So LED bulbs are acceptable retrofit for a fog light application.
But again, these are not federally regulated, so check your local state laws and all that to make sure you're legal in your particular area. One last thing, it is recommended you should probably wear gloves or something like that. Try not to touch the housing as much as possible, that way, your oils and stuff don't get on there and degradate the longevity of the bulbs themselves.
