Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at the Sylvania Basic 9006 Halogen Headlight Bulb. Now, this bulb is going to replace your standard equipment daytime running headlight halogen bulb with the same grade and specifications. Again, the bulb type is 9006, the shape is T4, and the base is P22D. And the 3,100 kelvin color temperature is going to give you a pure, more neutral white color than the 2,700 kelvin bulbs, and this has a rated average life of about 1,000 hours and a lumen rating of 1,700 lumens, and the base is going to give you a simple installation with its plug fitting, as you can see there. And as you probably know, when changing your bulb, you should never touch the glass, so that's why I'm wearing gloves.
You should always wear gloves or at least use a clean shop towel to reduce the transfer of oils from your skin during installation. This bulb is legal for on-road use, and it does meet the Department of Transportation regulations for performance and life, and it is a good idea when changing your bulbs to change them on both sides of your vehicle just so you're maintaining that consistent light level and color level.
