Today we're going to review part number BWGNRK1007-5W. This is the B&W Custom Underbed Installation Kit for the B&W Companion Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitches. This is a custom fit design. It is designed to fit the 2007 to 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra New Body 1500 Series with the box trim and the long bed, the eighth foot bed. Now, not only does this installation kit provide you with a sturdy custom base for installing your B&W Companion Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch and the bed of your truck but also double as a Turnoverball gooseneck hitch. Now, it does include the side mounting brackets, the rails, the gooseneck hitch head, the spring loaded safety chain loops and the Turnoverball hitch ball. Now, this kit will work with the Companion Fixed Fifth Wheel Hitch part number BWRVK3500 and the Companion Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch part number BWRVJ3400.

Now, when you are not feeling with it you can remove the Turnoverball completely or you can just turn it over and store it like that and then that will give you complete truck bed access to your truck when you're not towing. Now, this kit is custom design for your vehicle. The truck bed does not have to be removed. The mounting brackets right here on the side will bolt to existing holes in your truck's frame. Now, while there might be some modification required, the main thing is you will need to cut a four inch diameter hole in your bed for the .. to have access to the hitch ball opening.

You also need to drill four nine sixteen holes for these built-in safety chain loops to fit through but there is no need to weld-on to our drill into your frame. Now, once you have the brackets and the center section all installed then you'll just need to attach this operating handle right here. Now, this handle will bolt on right under neath here. There's a heavy duty five eighth inch diameter steel pin that will lock whatever you install in this hitch opening into place. This handle will attach to that steel pin, basically what you'll do is right now it's locked open you can pull the ball out but if you're going to tow a gooseneck and you flip the ball over you want to lock it into place you will just twist that handle and that will release it. That pin will slide into place, locked up all into place so it doesn't move. Now, when you're done with the gooseneck you can just pull it out, twist it, lock it open, take the ball out.

Then if you want to tow a fifth wheel you can get the B&W Companion Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch that we sold separately. That has a . basically that hitch would sit in to your truck bed held in by the center post which would slide down into here, has a hole in it. Again, once that is installed you release that pin, that pin would lock that center post into place and you will be able to tow a fifth wheel trailer with it. Now, the gross towing weight capacity on this is 30,000 pounds. The vertical load limit or pin weight capacity is 7500 pounds.
