will it work with factory brake control

My research on the GMC truck forum website does indicate that, according to a GM technician, starting with the 2014 model year K2XX trucks the factory ITBC is directly compatible with EOH actuators, although this was not the case for earlier model years.
In order for an electronic brake controller like the factory integrated unit in your GMC Sierra, or an aftermarket type like the popular Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885, to properly operate an electric-over-hydraulic trailer brake actuator it will need to have a setting for that specific type of operation. (Electric brake coils present a different amount of resistance to the controller than does an EOH actuator and the switch lets the controller know that an EOH system is connected). The P2 and other better controllers have a switch to choose between operation modes, one for electric trailer brakes and one for EOH actuator systems. Not all factory and not all aftermarket controllers have this capability.
In the case of some other EOH actuators such as the CTS HydraStar Electric-Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # HBA16 a special adapter, part # HBA-CAM, is required to make the unit compatible with the factory ITBC in GMC trucks.

Just to let everyone know, i have a 2011 Denali 3500, i pull a 3 axles boat trailer and since i install the Dexter E/H 1000 brake actuator using the HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Adapter Module for Ford and Chevy Brake Controllers Item # HBA-CAM, it has been working very well, so no need to replaced your factory brake controller, hopefully this will save you some headache. so buy the right adapter at first.
