Question:
How does the OEM tire compare to Duro HF308 Motorcycle Tires? Duro is a more well known brand with good reputation. The OEM Feichi Tyre is less well known in my opinion.

Hey John,
It looks like the Duro HF308 in the same 3.25"-16 sizing would have a lower ply rating (4-ply) compared to the OEM # Y8880282, which has a load range C (6-ply). This means the Duro's would be rated for less weight and which would limit your trailer's capacity. The majority of reviews we have speak pretty highly of the tires but that mounting the tires is so expensive it's cheaper/easier to just purchase the whole assembly # 8880157 and put them on instead. I would look into pricing at your local shops to make sure you know the full cost of this swap out before you purchase anything.
Let me know what you think and we can keep discussing options.

My understanding is that Duro HF308 Motorcycle tires in the 3.25x16 size are available in both 4ply and 6ply options, so I would go with the 6ply option. Car OEMs often compromise on quality and there are often better after market options available for tires. I found that the OEM Feichi tires started cracking of the sidewalls in the first few years. So I'm suspicious of the quality of the rubber used by that manufacturer. So would prefer to go with a higher quality after market tire if one exists for this trailer. -John
