How to Get Yakima OnRamp LX to Secure 2 Rad e-Bikes

Updated 10/22/2024 | Published 10/21/2024

Question:

Can you look at the pictures I sent Madison and see if you know a way to put the black bike on first?

Hey Robert, thanks for reaching out again!

I took a look at the photos you sent in of your bikes installed on the Yakima OnRamp LX # Y88DJ and BackSwing # Y02483, and from what I'm seeing it looks like the doors on your Ford Transit will open up if you place the closer bike in the position that you have the black bike as that should allow the handlebar to clear your rear door.

Be sure you load your heavier bike first, and if you're struggling to find mounting points, it also looks like you can secure the clamps around your seat posts, although that might require you to remove the racks that are attached to the seat posts on your bikes.
