Question:

I own a 2002 c3500 express cutaway van . It’s a former airforce post van I am looking for information if the frame is the same as the c3500 express van . As I am looking into buying a tow hitch for it . Any information would be greatly appreciated Kind regards thirsten appel

Hello Thorsten, thanks for reaching out. I do have an option for you, but unfortunately there are no custom fit hitches for the cutaway models of the 2002 Chevy express van. The only option is going to be a universal hitch like the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41990-07. This Class V hitch has a 2" receiver and weld-on installation. We recommend taking it to a certified welder unless you happen to have experience with this.

So the frame rearwards is not the same as the express van c3500 ?

@Thorsten That is correct. The cutaway models are framed differently and there are usually other modifications that can obstruct the hitch.

@JesseM I will check what my frame dimensions are .mhey seem to be big u shaped rails so just by eyesight this should fit .. and yes I can weld myself :) Cheers for all the info . How much would shipping to Florida be ?

@Thorsten right now we are doing free shipping on orders over 99$ so no shipping charge. Usually shipping only takes a few days but please keep the current weather conditions in mind as I am sure that will be effecting the logistics of things in that area.
