Will Steel Jeep YJ Wheels Fit on a 5 on 4-1/2 Inch Trailer Hub
Question:
I was wondering if there was any success of putting Jeep YJ steel wheels on a 5x4.5 hub? Thank you for your time. I have a custom trailer with plenty of room for the tire.

As long as the wheel bolt pattern on the Jeep YJ steel wheels are 5 on 4-1/2 inches, then yes, you can put them on a 5 on 4-1/2 hub. Most YJ models used the 5 on 4-1/2 inch wheel bolt pattern, so they should work, but I recommend measuring the bolt pattern to be sure. I have attached a help article on how to determine your wheel bolt pattern for you to check out.
If your wheels have a 5 wheel bolt holes, you can determine the bolt pattern by measuring the distance between adjacent bolt holes on center.
If the distance is:
2-5/8 inches then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-1/2
2-3/4 inches then the bolt pattern is 5 on 4-3/4
3 inches then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5
3-1/4 inches then the bolt pattern is 5 on 5-1/2
If your wheels have 6 wheel bolt holes, then you can determine the bolt pattern by measuring the distance between opposite bolt holes on center. For example, if the bolt holes opposite each other are 5-1/2 inches apart on center, then the wheel bolt pattern is 6 on 5-1/2.
