Help Finding a Hitch Extension For Towing a Car Trailer Behind a 2023 Ford F-250 With Truck Camper
Updated 05/07/2024 | Published 04/06/2024 >
Question:
I’m having a bit of trouble choosing what products to buy for my needs. I’m not sure if you offer recommendations. I have a 2023 F250 and a Lance Squire truck camper and am looking to get a trailer extension to tow my car trailer with. I cannot for the life of me find which correct options to purchase. Could you possibly lend some insight? Thank you so so much!

I would love to help you with this Adam, but I am going to need a bit of information on your exact setup to determine what all you will need. Can you tell me how heavy your car trailer is when loaded and how much extension you will need? Also I will need to know what size receiver hitch opening you have. I know on an F-250 you are most likely going to have a 2-1/2" opening but I wasn't sure if the Extension # C45048 would be long enough or have enough capacity for your trailer.

Thank you, Bud! I am unsure the length I need but the first pick on that listing shows just about my exact setup except the truck is a crew cab. The trailer loaded is 5300LBS. 2.5" hitch works too. This would be okay or do I need a weight distriibution kit like I've heard people mention?
