Question:
I wanted to ask the difference between the Lippert Road Armor and the Equa-Flex. The both appear to do the same thing and wanted to know the difference. I have a Kaufman 24 foot enclosed car hauler and was considering replacing the stock steel part with one of these if they would allow for better handling. Can you assist.

In terms of ride quality and handling there is no difference between the Equa-Flex # LC279687 and the Road Armor # LC696740. However, both will be a great upgrade over what you have now. Between these and other cushioned equalizers the best option is the one that matches your current equalizer dimensions.
For example, the # LC279687 has a distance between left and right bolt holes (center on center) of 5-1/2". The height of side bolt hole to hanger bolt hole is 2-1/2". If this matches your stock equalizer measurements this is the best option. If you're closer to the 6" from left to right and height of 3-1/4" from the Road Armor then that is the best choice.
There are other options with other dimensions as well so I recommend measuring and comparing before making a decision. In addition to the upgraded equalizers I also recommend adding a wet bolt kit like the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers.
The kit includes 1/2" thick shackles, wet bolts, and bronze bushings. This gives you long lasting components so you won't have to worry about failure. You need to choose based on the eye to eye measurement of your current shackles. For 2-1/4" you need the # MR46ZR and for 3-1/8" the # MR76ZR.
I have attached a link to all of our upgraded equalizers below which can be filtered by length (left to right bolt hole) for your reference.
