Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for a 2024 Tesla Model Y
Question:
I bought a new 2024 Tesla Model Y with factory tow package, what type of adapter do I need to connect most trailers?

It depends on what trailer you'd consider to be "most" trailers, but with a Tesla you're going to be pretty limited so I'll assume it's nothing with brakes.
So with that being said, we have the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT, which is a custom fit harness that'll simply plug into your factory wiring. This is a 4 pole wiring harness which is pretty much that standard on every small trailer.
It's also worth nothing that your Tesla only has a 3,500 lb towing capacity so keep that in mind whenever you load up your trailer and get ready to head out.

Bryce, you sound pretty nut-slappin ignorant. Just because the model Y has a limited capacity compared to your F-350 maxCompensatorPro, doesn’t mean it isn’t appropriately towing something with brakes. I have a 2000 lbs travel trailer camper, 190 lbs tongue weight. Both of which fit within the Tesla specs but it also has brakes. Guess I won’t be using your site for this information. Have the day you deserve.
