Recommended Tire Chains for 315/70-R17 Tires

Good Morning, I have a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with Nitto Ridge Grabber LT 315/70R17 tires. Please recommend which Pewag chains I should purchase. I live in the Southern San Juan Mountains and we have very steep grades and passes. Thank you for your assistance in this matter,

To add a set of Pewag tire chains to your Jeep Wrangler's 315/70-R17 tires you will want the pewag Wide Base Tire Chains item # PW94FR. These have square links and a zig zag pattern that will give you traction in deep snow, mud, gravel, and ice. The zig zag pattern provides great overall coverage for your tires.

I recommend adding the Glacier Multi-Arm Tire Chain Tensioners item # PW105 to secure the chains tightly to your tires.

The Titan Chain #TC2536 is the correct fit for 315/70R17 tires, but not for off-roading as those chains are on-road only. For tire chains that do fit that size tire and is rated for both on-road and off-road use you'll need a different chain: -…

For the front axle of a truck like yours with the tire size 33x12.50-20 I would recommend the pewag Starwave Chains part #PW94FR which uses a zig zag pattern for the chain links which allows it to provide better traction around corners.
