I have ordered 2022 Chevy Equinox LT AWD and will be setting it up for flat towing behind my Class C RV 2021 Winnebago Navion. Can you look at my list below and give any further recommendations on equipment that I may be missing/incorrect and any other recommendations? I'm going to start with your baseplate on your 2022 Chevrolet Equinox LT. The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-523193-5 is a great choice and will fit correctly. With the standard P225/65R17 tires you will have a base plate height of 15-3/4". You will need to measure the receiver height on your 2021 Winnebago Navion to determine if you will need a Roadmaster High-Low Adapter like the 4" # RM-048-4 to keep the Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-522 within the 3" of level. If you let me know the height to the center of your receiver I will be able to help you ensure you get the correct adapter. The RoadMaster Receiver Hitch Lock # RM-315 will secure the tow bar or you will need 2 if you require an adapter.

The RoadMaster Falcon All-Terrain Combo Towing Kit # RM-9243-1 will come with the safety cables, cord kit, tow bar cover, and locks for the tow bars. You will simply need to use the Roadmaster Smart Diodes # RO34FR in place of the included diodes that come with the towing kit. The wiring and cables are hybrid cords with straight sections to pass through the bars and coiled sections so the excess will not drag while towing. You will also need the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-75 since the battery on your Equinox will drain while towing.

The Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System w/ Wireless Coachlink Monitor # DM86VR is my go to brake system for motor homes with hydraulic brakes. It requires that the brake lights are activated and the internal inertia sensor sense deceleration before it activates the brakes. This will prevent false braking when covering the brake pedal or coasting to a stop.

The Roadmaster Tow Defender Protective Screening # RM-4750 is the correct screen to work with your direct connect baseplate.

I hope that I didn't confuse you to much with using the Towing Combo Kit # RM-9243-1 rather than listing the Cables # RM-645, Cord Kit # RM-98146-7, Connector # RM-910030-7 and Cover # RM-055-3 separately.
