Bike Rack Recommendation for Radwagon 3 E-Bikes for 2" Hitch

Updated 05/09/2022 | Published 05/08/2022

Question:

Just got a used Radwagon 3 and cannot seem to determine compatibility for racks. Radwagon’s website says there is a new model of this rack that is not compatible with the Radwagon 3, but it’s not clear whether the older model is still available. If it’s been discontinued, I’d love to know alternatives. Your help would be appreciated! Thanks. We have a 2017 Subaru Outback with a 2 inch hitch, and a 2015 Toyota Tacoma 2”.

We definitely have a perfect rack that works! From my available specs on your Radwagon 3 e-bikes, they have a 50-1/2 wheelbase and weigh 73 pounds. They also have 2.3" wide tires.

If these specs match the bikes you have, I recommend the Hollywood Racks RV Rider Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches # HLY74FR. This is, hands down, the best rack for your bikes. The reason why is because not only are they compatible with your 2017 Subaru Outback and 2015 Toyota Tacoma, the independently-adjusting cradles on the center mast adjust to fit your bikes' frames. With this feature, you do not need to worry about purchasing an additional bike frame adapter bar. The frame-mounted attachments completely bypass your rear cargo platform and fenders to avoid any unnecessary risk of damage. Also, the rack comes with the highest weight capacity offered by all of our racks: 80 pounds per bike. To top it all off, it comes with a keyed-alike hitch lock, frame clamps, and a cable lock to deter the theft of your bikes and the rack itself.

I went ahead and attached a demo video of the RV Rider installed on a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee to provide you with perspective.

Since you have 2" hitches already installed on both vehicles, I recommend measuring the length of both of your hitches from the center of the pinhole to the outside face of your bumpers. This measurement will confirm whether you have enough shank length on the RV Rider to clear your rear bumper. As long as those measurements do not exceed 7-1/2 inches long, you are good to go!
