Recommended Replacement Electric Stabilizer for 2012 Springdale Travel Trailer

Published 04/26/2022

Question:

The Texas coast has destroyed my electric stabilizing jacks. I dont know the original brand but they look like the Rec Pro simply because of the paint color. Due to age at 76 and inflation, I need the most economical replacements possible including shipping that I can install. The front jack has welded spacers. The rear does not. 1. What do you recommend for replacements? 2. How can I mitigate the effects of the Pt Aransas salt? I tried a chemical used on nuclear power plants that worked well on most of the trailer where I could get to it, but the back sides have been my Achilles heal. Thanks.

The Lippert High-Speed Power Stabilizer Jack, # LC298707 is a lower price point but and will work just fine for your situation.

I do however recommend the Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Electric Stabilizer with Dual Motors, # UF39-941705 that can be used on the front or back of a Travel Trailer as the best product avaialble. This has a rated weight capacity of 6,000 lbs. when extended to 30".

The Ultra-Fab Power Twin II Electric Stabilizer, # UF39-941707 is a front mount option with 22" lift and rated for 6,000 lbs.

It is always difficult mitigate the effects of salt on parts such as these and others found on Travel Trailers. Washing and inspecting each season to remove salt then addressing paint/powder coat weak spots is my best advise and spraying with a product such as Roadmaster LubeMaster Dry Silicone Spray, # RM-747.
