Question:

I have a 2008 suburban 4x4 1500. I tow a Lance travel trailer 1685 with my Ford f350. It tows the camper superbly. Can I upgrade my suburban to tow the camper like the f350? The suburban starts to sway at speeds over 55 unlike the the f350. Will an upgraded suspension correct the sway?

Heavier duty vehicles do tend to tow a bit easier with fewer issues than lighter duty vehicles like what you have found. In some cases the heavier duty vehicle's stiffer suspension can compensate for improper loading that can cause sway so one thing you can try that is free is moving any cargo weight in your travel trailer as far forward as possible to increase tongue weight as that's the most common cause of trailer sway. Another thing that could be at play is that your tow vehicles have different height hitches which could cause the nose of the trailer to be at different heights if you are using same ball mount for both vehicles.

Now that said suspension enhancement for your 2008 Chevy Suburban 1500 would help reduce some sway since the suspension will be stiffer. For that the SumoSprings Solo part # SSR-204-40 would be a really great option that will provide up to 1,000 lbs of additional support.
