Are There 4 or 6 Terminals On The Back Of The Solera Power Awning Switch Kit LC285500?

Question:

Looking to replace my existing switch on my Thor 2016 freedom elite motorhome. When I pull off the color and pull out the rocker switch a couple of inches from the wall there are six wires that go into six receptacle pins in the morning switch So I have two questions one is I don’t think I need the wiring harness and do you have to use the wiring harness or is that an extra piece? And second question is when I look at the wiring diagram that you provided another customer it looks like there are only four wires that go into the awning switch but there are six right? So I’m confused on this

The Solera Power Awning Switch Kit # LC285500 does have 6 pins on the back of it, the included harness just has two internal jumper wires running between a few of the pins making it so there are only four wires.

Since your switch has 6 individual wires you would just disconnect them one at a time from your old switch, and install them one at a time in the same position of your new switch to make sure everything functions correctly. You will not need to use the included harness.

I included a video of the # LC285500 for you to take a look at.
