Recommended Tire Pressure for 205/75-14 Load Range C Trailer Tire

Question:
What is a good PSI setting on my tires when traveling with my travel trailer. I have 205/75r14 Towmax Power king tires and 96/100 load capacity. I have a 19 foot travel trailer dry weight 2500 pounds. Max PSI says 50 PSI for cold on side tire. Not sure what to set them at. Had a blowout yesterday and not sure why because tire was less than 2years old with low miles.

You'll want to keep your 205/75-14 Load Range C tires fully inflated to the 50 psi pressure rating listed on the sidewall. The tires will only have the stated capacity when fully inflated. If they are not fully inflated, the tire's load capacity would be unknown which would lead to a dangerous situation such as a high speed blowout.

I have four Carlisle ST 205 75/R14 on my travel trailer. As you stated, per Carlisle's website, recommended inflation is 50 PSI. However, on the sidewall, it says 35 PSI max. Needless, to say, it's confusing. Thanx in advance.
