Refurb a Burro Camper and the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini Converter/Smart Charger
Question:
Hi, I bought a small vintage camper, a burro from 1985. It is in good shape but all the electrical has been removed. I have been trying to research what sort of power supply I would need, and there are so many choices! My power needs are quite small, I would be powering just about four to six small LED lights, about .25 amps each, and a couple of cell phone chargers. I would also want to be able to run a roof vent similar to a maxxair fan or a fantastic fan. I dont think I would need a 12-volt refrigerator, though it might be nice to be able to expand to that down the road if I would want to. I know I would need a power cord a battery and an inverter converter. Would something like this item be a good choice? I like the idea of having it be all-in-one rather than assembling different pieces and parts together.

Yes, based on what you described the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger - 60 Amp, # PD4060K, is exactly what I would choose if refurbing a burro. This 2-in-1 AC/DC distribution panel and converter charger will work well your size RV. It works with lithium or lead acid batteries just be sure that select the right setting based on what battery pack you go with. It will use a custom charging profile for lithium and multistage charging for lead acid.
Most will be a 30 amp twist lock type inlet requiring something similar to the Epicord RV Power Cord with Handle, # 277-000145.
If you need to replace the power inlet, we have the Epicord 30 Amp Twist Lock Power Inlet - White, # 277-000137.
