Question:
I have an rv with 1/4 quick disconnect. I’m looking for a fitting to attach a quick disconnect to my turkey fryer regulator. I purchased a 1/4 male NPT thread but it is too large.

Thank you for sending these additional pictures. It appears that the hose with fittings, that you have, are designed to connect directly to a 20 pound propane tank. Therefore, on one end you have a large Type-1 connector to attach direcly to the 20 pound tank, then it goes through a propane regulator, then through a length of hose and on the other end is a swivel connector of some size, then into a reducer bushing, then into (what looks like) a tiny carberator jet.
So, first, your RV probably has a propane tank, and directly off of the tank it probably goes into a propane regulator to deliver low-pressure gas to your RV appliances, like the oven, cooktop, water heater, room heater, and such, including the quick disconnect fitting outside your trailer. You need to know that you cannot run propane through two regulators. If you do use this hose, you will need to remove the regulator from the fryer hose. Of course you can then not use this later with an unregulated propane tank.
The small jet is unknown to us, otherwise you could make a complete second hose for use with the RV quick disconnect valve.
Bottom line: You probaby lhave a quick disconnent like the MB Sturgis # 104052-MBS on your RV, in which case you can replace (on your current hose) the Type-1 connector AND regulator with a MB Sturgis # 401132-MBS Quick Disconnect Adapter Fitting. You may need some adapters to match the hose fitting on that end. These fittings will be available at your local hardware store. Then your other end can remain connected to your turkey fryer. Keep in mind that threaded fittings will require JR Products # 37207-30025 thread sealant for gas lines.
This all relys on a lot of PROBABLY and Maybe's. If you are not sure you should consult with your local propane gas distributor.
