How to Secure the Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
I am planning to get an Opus OP4 camper. I am planning on getting a Trailer Valet 5X to help me move it into my storage space. I want to remove the factory trailer stand/wheel and replace it with the Trailer Valet 5x. However, I was wondering if there is a simple trailer stand with a wheel I can attach to the Valet clamp/hardware for when we go camping. I dont want to take the mover-part of the Valet. I see part TV64FR that appears to attach to the Valet clamp/hardware. Is there a version with a dual wheel, or can the foot pad be replaced by a dual wheel?

I can understand not wanting to take the Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211 along for security reasons, though there isn't an available option for the JXS that can add a dual wheel or a trailer stand with a wheel that attaches to the Valet. The issue is not only a mount not fitting, but also that jacks with wheels don't have a similar capacity to the 5,000 lb Trailer Valet 5X Swivel Jack and Trailer Mover # STC-V211.
So really the best option I can recommend is adding a cable lock and running it around and through the Valet and your trailer frame, and the best way to do that is with a cable lock, the Trimax Trimaflex Cable Lock - 6' Long - 1" Diameter Item # TMX24ZR.
This will ensure the Valet doesn't go anywhere while you are camping, keeping it secure to your trailer. I have added a link below to some video reviews for you to check out as well.
