How To Install a 7-Way Trailer Connector In the Bumper Cutout for a 2020 Toyota Tacoma

Question:
2020 Toyota Tacoma 4 door has a place for trailer wiring harness and I noticed a female plug capped off on the same wiring as the rear lighting. I simply want to install a light strip under the tailgate that has a 4 pin connector.

The only trailer wiring harness options we offer for a 2020 Toyota Tacoma are those that plug-in behind the tail lights, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56349 for a 4-way or part # 22117 for a 7-way. In order to use the cutout in the bumper you'd have to go with the 7-way and purchase the 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket part # HM40975 separately.
