The Brake Buddy Stealth part # HM39530 can only work with the included brake controller. You'd have to install the controller that comes with this to use it with the Stealth and then use your current controller when towing a trailer.

Could you explain why another controller cannot be used with the Brake Buddy Stealth ? I just purchased a Curt Echo wireless controller and would like to use it for my 2004 Holiday Rambler Endeavor and a 2017 Ram 1500 pick up that I have installed the Brake Buddy Stealth. I spent hours upside down and backwards looking for the "factory plug" that is supposed to be under the dash or under the shifter side panel. This plug was never installed in my coach. To use the brake buddy controller.... my motorhome requires new wires (12vdc power and blue brake controller wire) to be run from the rear to the front. My brake petal does NOT have a petal mounted switch in which to tie-in the red signal wire from the controller. Pushing the brake petal provides the ground for the brake lights not the not the 12vdc power that the controller is looking for. So that would require me to tie into the front fuse panel with a universal relay wired to provide +12vdc signal voltage to the red brake switch wire for the controller. Just a whole lot of time and effort. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
