Recommended Trailer Hitch and Wiring Bracket for 2020 Toyota Highlander XLE AWD

I need to install a Trailer hitch + Electrical wiring + Adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole Item # 37185 for my new Highlander. However, your recommended C99FR doesnt seem to have a protected attachment metal plate for the adaptor that connects to the trailer. Could I use Draw Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch-Receive Custom Fit instead of Curt product C99FR, without modification? If I cant, where would be the best place to attach the adaptor so that it wont be damaged from the bottom scratch? Thanks 2020 Toyota Highlander XLE AWD

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C99FR is the correct hitch fit for your 2020 Toyota Highlander. You are correct it doesn't have a welded bracket for the trailer wiring connector, so I recommend using the Easy Mount # C58000. This will work really well with the wiring connector # 37185 you mentioned or the # ETBC7 kit if you are adding a brake controller.
I don't recommend using any other hitch and this is the best option without connecting the wiring to your bumper fascia.
