Roof Rack Recommendation for 2013 Nissan Cube and Buick Verana and Bike Rack, Kayak Carrier and Box
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
The closest option for a roof rack that fits both your 2013 Buick Verano and Nissan Cube will be a Rhino Rack Vortex rack that allows you to use the same foot kit between the two part # RRRLKVA but the bar lengths and fit kits are different for each vehicle. The Verano needs the shorter bar length of # RRVA118B-2 and the Cube needs the longer # RRVA137S-2. The Verano needs the fit kit # DK340 and the Cube needs the fit kit # DK263. For kayak carriers the Thule Hullaport XT part # TH848 is a really great option that can carry a single kayak as a j-style or two like a stacker. The Compass part # TH890000 is another really great option for two. This gives you even more flexibility for carrying two kayaks with more padding underneath. For bike racks you have two styles to pick from. The fork mount like the Rhino Rack Road Warrier part # RBC036 or a wheel mount like # RRRBC050. The advantage to a fork mount is it's a bit lighter to lift onto the roof but then you do have to store the wheel in the vehicle. The Thule cargo boxes are the easiest to install and remove so they are what I like to recommend. We have medium sized ones like the 16 cubic foot Pulse part # TH615 and we have larger ones like the Force XT part # TH6359B which can hold up to 22 cubic feet. The smallest size we have is the # TH6356B which holds 11 cubic feet. For roof bags the Rightline Gear Sport 2 part # RL100S20 is a really solid choice for either attaching to the roof rack or even a naked roof.
