Is RoadActive Suspension Kit Needed In Addition to Weight Distribution
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
If I have a weight distribution system for my F-150 to pull my camper do I still need the RAS system?

The answer to your question will depend on how you use your truck. Vehicle-based systems like the RoadActive Suspension system or air bags will work just fine with a weight distribution system, but they work best to suspend weight being hauled in the bed of a truck or in a vehicle's cargo area, while a weight distribution system does a better job of transferring a trailer's tongue weight from the rear tow vehicle axle to the front. If in addition to towing you also frequently carry heavy loads in the bed of your truck, a RAS system would be an excellent choice to provide extra support, prevent axle wrap and reduce sway and body roll in turns.
For your 2017 F150, you'd want to use # RAS3611-Y for 4 wheel drive models or # RAS3611-B for 2 WD models. The system isn't compatible with Raptor model trucks.

Hello Mike, I recently bought a 2017 f150 with the towing package to pull my 6000 lb travel trailer. It seems to squat more than I would like without a wdh. Once the wdh is installed, the squat is gone. Would it be worth it to put the Roadmaster system on to help with the squat?
