Curt Trailer Hitch vs. Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch on 2020 Ford Escape
Question:
I'm looking for a trailer hitch for my 2020 Ford Escape. I see there's the Curt and the Draw-Tite but not entirely sure if there is one I should go with over the other. Is there a significant difference or are they pretty much the same?

When it comes to the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C23FR compared to the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # DR47FR for your 2020 Ford Escape there are a couple of differences between the two that I'll go over for you.
The first is the style, with the Curt hitch being a concealed crosstube which only shows the receiver, while the Draw-Tite is a visible crosstube, so the Curt is going to maintain your Escape's look better than the Draw-Tite. The accompanying photo is from the linked instructions of both that show how they look when installed.
The other main difference is that the Draw-Tite is rated for use with a weight distribution system and has a 4,500 lb towing capacity compared to the Curt's 3,500 lb capacity. However, the Curt hitch is still rated high enough to meet the towing capacity of a 2020 Escape.
If this were my Ford Escape, I would install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C23FR because it will keep the vehicle's look while being just as functional for towing and accessories as the Draw-Tite # DR47FR.
If you do plan on towing and need a trailer wiring harness, the correct fit for a 2020 Escape is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TE54FR.
