Does My 2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Have A Tow Package Or Not

I have a 2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited. I do not believe that it has the towing package, but am struggling to figure out what the picture is showing in your instructions to determine if the car has the towing package... is this a picture of the underside of the car, but upside-down or is this a picture of the inside of the trunk after removing the spare tire tools and the plastic tray that these tools sit within? Thank you for your help

I am happy to help you determine if your 2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid has a tow package or not. I understand that the photo you are referring to can be hard to interpret. The easiest way to determine this is to visually inspect your vehicle on your own. If you take a look at the video for part # 118449 that I attached on a 2019 Toyota Highlander without a tow package, the installer removes the back tray in the rear cargo area to find the plugs he needs to plug the wiring harness into. If you remove the cargo area tray and you have two plugs (one for a converter and one for the wiring harness) then you do not have a tow package and need part # 118449.
If you take a look at the video I have attached for part # 56042 for the 2018 Toyota Highlander with a factory tow package, he removes the cargo rear tray and there is only one plug to plug the harness into. If you find one plug, your Highlander has a tow package and you need part # 56042.
If you are still not sure about if you have a towing package or not I recommend to contact the dealership with the VIN and they can tell you as well.

All V6s have the towing package since 2016 heavy duty radiator and oil cooler etc . But none of them have the proper wiring unless you have an additional towing package added from the factory on your accessory list on the window sticker.The fact it says you can tow does not incudes wiring as in ever. $962 option from factory which includes the receiver. $1000 at the dealer.
