Is Drilling Required for a Roof Rack On a 2019 Toyota Tacoma with Bare Roof
Question:
Do I have to drill holes on my naked roof to install a tool rack? On the side lines I have an existing rubber strip but there are no holes.

Expert Reply:
The Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbar System part # RRVA137B-2, part # RRRLKVA, and part # DK174 is a confirmed fit for a 2019 Toyota Tacoma (All Models Including TRD) and will not require any drilling. This is one of the best bang for your buck roof racks on the market and what I recommend you use. It also comes with locks for security.
The Rhino-Rack Roof Rack System with Tracks part # Y02-490B that you are looking at does require drilling and although can be installed on a roof, this is not what I recommend as it is generally designed to be used on fiberglass truck caps.
I have attached a photo of the above to assist.
