Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Can you tell me how long the leaf springs are that comes with this axle? I am upgrading a trailer with tandem 3500# axles to 5200# axlesPN6340624-EB. Will the equalizer that is used currently for the 3500# axles be the same size for the 5200# axles? If not how to measure what size equalizer I will need? Thanks

I do have the correct leaf springs that you will need to use with the Dexter Trailer Axle w/ Electric Brakes part # 6340624-EB but these are not included. If you can provide me with your leaf spring hanger spacing then I can get you the correct leaf springs and equalizers if the ones you have now will not work.
That said, most trailers will have a 29-1/2" leaf spring hanger spacing and if that is the case you can use the 5-Leaf Double-Eye Spring part # e34SR with the Curved Equalizer part # TREQE34.
I have attached a photo that shows how an equalizer is measured for you.
