Im wondering if you can guide me on what hitch lock should I buy to replace the speed knob security by a hitch lock. In not sure about the diameter of the adapter. 5/8 or 1/2 fits on this rack? What do you recommend me from you web?. For better understanding of what Im looking for, you can find on your video, I want to replace that red pin for a hitch lock, something like this is just and example to give a better idea. I do have an option for you but the SpeedKnob is not something that you can just replace with a standard hitch pin lock. The SpeedKnob serves two purposes, to lock the bike rack inside the receiver tube and to wedge the shank against the inside of the receiver tube for anti-sway purposes.

If you do not have the key for the SpeedKnob but it is unlocked then you can just use the control key, part # Y8007835 to remove the lock core and get the key number on the side. You can then order the correct key from us using Y8772-A### with the ### being the number on the side of your lock core.

If you do not have the key for the SpeedKnob but it is locked you can drill this out and replace it with the Replacement SpeedKnob and Wedge Assembly part # 8880508 or you can have a locksmith open the lock for you and then do the above.
