Flashing E.r Error Code on Draw-Tite Trailer Brake Controller
Question:
I have an 2002 avalanche and all was fine till I blew a brake line.. I’ve notice immediately following my controller has a flashing Er code.

The "E.r" error code you have on the brake controller means it is inoperative so it must be replaced as they are not serviceable. This is outlined in the troubleshooting chart section of the owner's manual. I am not really sure of the correlation between the brake controller going bad and a brake line failing but nonetheless it will need to be replaced.
I recommend the Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller part # 39510 which is similarly priced and retains the same proportional braking functionality. It also comes with a five year warranty so you would be covered for quite a long time if something were to happen. It uses the same plug you have for the Draw-Tite I-Command so the install is plug and play.
