Will Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13176 Fit a 2019 GMC Canyon

Question:

All of the reviews are for Chevy Colorado’s. I don’t see any that are for a 2019 GMC Canyon. I bought this hitch and the shop installing it says it won’t fit. Any thoughts?

My initial thought is that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13176 requires the removal of factory crossmember or hitch which is then replaced by this trailer hitch receiver and that the shop either doesn't know that or doesn't want to deal with it.

I checked with Curt who confirmed that this fits as well as linked the installation video we shot of this same trailer hitch on a 2019 Chevy Colorado and the written instructions you can reference.

If you let me know why they are saying it won't fit and can shoot me some pictures of what the issue is I can reach out to my contacts to find you a solution.
