Question:
My truck has factory wiring harness and factory controller. This is the first time ive used the 7 pin plug. All lights and signals work. Brakes will work with manual override but not with pedal. Also have a CF ! error on the brake controller display. When trailer is not connected

CF on the dash of a 2012 Ram 1500 with the factory electric brake controller indicates "computer fault" and typically means the wiring isn't making a solid connection somehow but it can also indicate a problem internal of the factory controller. I'd check all trailer wiring and third brake light fuses first but then if that does not fix it you'd want to take it to a dealer to see if they can address the internal problem.

The integrated brake on my 2014 dodge diesel 2500 is not sending any current through the plug. Is there a fuse which controls this and if so which one is it and where is it located? The control seems to be working and it recognizes the trailer being hooked up.
