Troubleshooting Lippert Leveling System Reset Light

Question:

Lci electronic leveling I have a 2007 Damon daybreak. Used leveler this weekend and at end of weekend hit retract all jacks and they came up. But jacks down light is on even with jacks all the way up. Now after system reset light is still on and system won’t do anything

I reached out to my tech contact at Lippert and he said there are a couple things to check. First he said it sounds like the jacks are not retracted all the way up and if you press and hold the front arrow the jacks should extend if there is power getting to the unit. If they start working, then extend all the jacks 6 inches and then retract them to see if the display changes. The sensor may have had a misread on the retraction prior.

The biggest issue they have when nothing works is a battery without the proper charge. These systems are connected to the house battery and if that battery is at 12.2 or less then the system won't work properly. If when you are disconnected from your truck your reading on the battery is 12.7 or 12.8 then your battery is properly charged and the issue is elsewhere with a breaker that keeps tripping or with the control module # LC304136 needing replaced.

If the properly charged battery will let you do nothing, when you hit the extend jacks button do you see a blip or flicker on the screen? If so, then there is an automatic reset breaker that is getting reset and you'll need to trace your power lines for a short using a circuit tester like # PTW2993. If you have the proper battery voltage, no flicker on the screen and no movement then it is very likely the control module has blown a fuse. If the fuses are good, the board most likely has gone bad and needs replaced.
